Photographer Programme
Rolling Project welcomes applications from automotive photographers interested in contributing to our growing independent publishing and media platform.
We want to work with photographers who are passionate about the automotive world and have ideas for events, stories and projects that align with our editorial interests.
1. Apply to work with us
Photographers can approach Rolling Project with an event or editorial project they would like to cover.
Applications should explain:
-
Which event the photographer wishes to attend.
-
Why they want to cover the event.
-
How the event aligns with Rolling Project's editorial interests.
-
What photography, stories or content they propose to produce.
-
How they would contribute to Rolling Project's coverage and brand awareness.
Applications are reviewed individually, and support is offered at Rolling Project's discretion.
2. Editorial collaboration
Successful applicants will work with Rolling Project to establish an agreed editorial brief, outlining the intended coverage, content deliverables and publication opportunities.
Where appropriate, Rolling Project can provide a formal commission letter and supporting information for media accreditation applications.
All accreditation decisions remain with the relevant event organiser, and access cannot be guaranteed.
3. Social media collaboration
Contributors are expected to help raise awareness of Rolling Project through agreed social media activity associated with their approved event coverage.
This may include event-day stories, posts crediting Rolling Project, relevant account tags and collaborative posts where the platform and circumstances allow.
The precise expectations will be agreed before the event, ensuring a clear and mutually beneficial arrangement.
4. Print and design support
As part of the contributor programme, Rolling Project offers agreed print and design support at no charge for eligible editorial projects.
This provides photographers with an opportunity to develop their work beyond digital platforms, including printed photographic presentations, editorial layouts and selected print projects.
The scope of support, including design time, print quantities and production requirements, will be agreed in advance. Larger projects may require a separate arrangement.
5. Professional standards and publication
Contributors are expected to work professionally, respect event rules and safety requirements, and deliver content in accordance with their agreed brief.
Photographers retain their copyright unless otherwise agreed in writing. Any publication rights, image credits, licensing arrangements and independent commercial use will be established before the assignment begins.
Rolling Project will consider submitted work for publication in line with its editorial standards and intended coverage.
Our approach
We believe in building relationships with photographers who want to document the automotive world, share compelling stories and develop their work through editorial collaboration.
Through a combination of publishing opportunities, accreditation support, social media collaboration and print and design services, Rolling Project aims to create a network where photographers and the publication can grow together.
